Snaps and Stars
Everyone loves stars! Use your scraps to make the 16 snaps then frame with stars. A New Original! A square on point separates each star.
The Wheel of Fortune quilt is one of my very favorites. I made this quilt years ago and entered it in a Richmond Quilt Guild Show. The quilt was sold during the show and that is my very favorite quilt story! I will share my story with you! You will love making this quilt. You may choose to use a very controlled palette or my version which is "Variety is the Spice of Life".
Curved Log Cabin
WOW! Can you believe the come back of the Log Cabin? Some traditions are just too good to let go. Now we have make it curve! The curves are created by using different size logs. The logs can be made from your stash or with fat quarters or a combination of both. Beginners as well as advanced quilters are equally intrigued with this design. The pattern possibilities for the log cabin are just endless, so come make your blocks and play with the plentiful designs. See you at the curve!
Too many little squares? Looks can be deceiving. Use your scraps and strip piecing to create this snappy quilt. This quilt uses squares and triangles to make this scrappy delight. Set the blocks on point and you have a great quilt that was "sew" easy to make.
These are some of my very favorite snappy scrappy quilting patterns, all available to purchase.

For the Wheel of Fortune, I have printed freezer paper templates. A page is included in each pattern but additional pattern pages are available for a larger guilt or to make a second quilt.

This quilt is so easy and yet so striking! The Spinning Stars quilt is a wonderful quilt to put your stash to good use. For this quilt to "pop" it helps to use a sharp contrast of lights and darks. We will work on "value" as we get comfortable putting all our scraps together. We will make precise split nine patch blocks, joining them to form our Spinning Star.
Carolina Blue Heaven
Blue is my favorite color and being from North Carolina, "ain't nothing any finer"! You, of course, may choose to make it your favorite color or make it scrappy using all colors. This is a two block quilt using many 2 1/2" squares, constructing four patch units and combing them to make this fun traditional quilt.
Wheel of Fortune
Oh how we love our log cabin quilts! This beautiful Americana quilt is made with one line of fabric, using 3 values, (dark, medium, and light), of red and blue fabrics each. It uses the same background for the entire quilt. Can you do this scrappy? Absolutely, using the values in different fabrics. There are 4 different blocks used to make this quilt. The blocks are a red, a blue, a border block and corner blocks. It will "trick your eyes" when you realize the construction secrets!
Snappy Scrappy Stars
Are you seeing stars or squares? You can be a star when you create this beautiful scrap quilt of interlocking stars and squares. Leftover fabric or charm squares are wonderful for making this quilt.
An awesome, fast, and easy way to cut thread, especially when you string piece. Cute and easy to carry with your other supplies.
This is a great quilt that helps you use your stash. it involves making one block, repeating that block and arranging them in a pleasing design. The block is made up of large half square triangle and 5 small half square triangles. I hope you love making half square triangles. You may choose to use all one background or a variety of different background fabrics. The block finishes as a 6 inch square. Look at your stash and throw in some "oldies" as well as your favorite colors. If you would like you may work with one color family including lights to darks, or remember red, white, and blue always works.
